"Lynch Syndrome: Current Status of Crc in Biotechnological and Biomedical Fields"

چکیده
Lynch syndrome (LS) is an autosomal dominant genetic condition caused by mutations in the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) genes germline. Colorectal cancer and/or LS-associated are more likely people who carry pathogenic these genes. Cancers of endometrium, small intestine, stomach, pancreas, and biliary tract, ovarian, brain, upper urinary skin among types linked to LS. The criteria for a clinical diagnosis LS, as well processes testing identify carriers pathogenetic MMR genes, have been known long time.

Lynch Syndrome: History and Current Status
The annual worldwide incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) is 944,717 with a mortality of 492,411 [1]. Approximately 5% to 10% of this total CRC burden is due to primary Mendelian inheritance factors, making hereditary CRC a major public health problem throughout the world. These estimates of the hereditary burden of CRC may be conservative when considering the existence of low-penetrant genes s...
متن کاملDown Syndrome: Current Status, Challenges and Future Perspectives
Down syndrome (DS) is a birth defect with huge medical and social costs, caused by trisomy of whole or part of chromosome 21. It is the most prevalent genetic disease worldwide and the common genetic cause of intellectual disabilities appearing in about 1 in 400-1500 newborns. Although the syndrome had been described thousands of years before, it was named after John Langdon Down who described ...
متن کاملWhole Gene Capture Analysis of 15 CRC Susceptibility Genes in Suspected Lynch Syndrome Patients
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Lynch Syndrome (LS) is caused by pathogenic germline variants in one of the mismatch repair (MMR) genes. However, up to 60% of MMR-deficient colorectal cancer cases are categorized as suspected Lynch Syndrome (sLS) because no pathogenic MMR germline variant can be identified, which leads to difficulties in clinical management. We therefore analyzed the genomic regions of 15 ...

within the components of communicative competence, a special emphasis is put on the “rules of politeness,” specifically the politeness strategies (brown and levinson, 1978) that speakers deploy when performing the request speech act. this is because the degree of imposition that making a request places upon one’s interlocutor(s) has been seen to be influenced by several factors among which, as ...
